Elopements and couples sessions are the heart of what I shoot. The galleries on this page are all Sea to Sky work: a proposal on a mountain top, an elopement reached by helicopter, small wedding parties with everyone in one frame. I photograph across Whistler, Squamish and Pemberton, from ceremonies above the treeline to sessions on the valley trails.
I work solo and keep weddings small. Elopements, intimate ceremonies and small wedding parties are the right size for how I shoot. If you are planning a large wedding with a long guest list, I am honestly not the right fit, and I would rather tell you that here than in your inbox.
Before your day I scout the locations myself, checking the light at the times we plan to shoot and watching how the weather changes it. We usually shoot early morning or late evening for the best light. During the session I keep things moving with prompts rather than stiff poses; the best frames come when you are focused on each other, not the camera.
Afterwards every gallery is hand-edited in my own style, usually delivered within one to two weeks, as a private online gallery you can view, share, download and order prints from.
